Organic Salt Commitment

Salt Central works with farmers and coops to ensure our organic sea salts are certified by leading consumer protection agencies. Sea Salt cannot be grown organically, however the method of harvesting the sea salt is a certifiable process. To obtain the organic salt certificate a salt works must harvest its gourmet sea salt in a nature reserve and ensure its process does not pollute the environment. It must also produce the salt by all natural means, by hand and without adding any chemicals preservatives or additives. The sea salt must be 100% all natural. Our commitment to certified organic and all natural sea salts is a growing passion. We strive to choose the best ways to safely bring the most pure and natural gourmet salts to the tables of our customers.

This site is thousands of years old and is noted by France’s leading chefs as the most natural and best tasting French sea salt in the world. It is also certified ISO 9001-2000.

Our Himalayan Jurassic salts are produced in a FDA Certified Facility. They are all natural and do not have any chemicals, preservatives or additives.
